Before you start

Close Premiere and After Effects. The installer writes into the extensions folder, and a running application holds those files open.

You need Premiere Pro 2022 or newer, or After Effects 2022 or newer.

Windows

1. Unzip the file you downloaded. Use right-click › Extract All, or 7-Zip. Do not use Windows’ tar — it skips files with Arabic names.
2. Open the folder and double-click INSTALL - تثبيت.bat.
3. If Windows says “Windows protected your PC”, click More info › Run anyway. It says that about any new file it has not seen before.
4. Wait for it to finish, then close the window.

macOS

1. Double-click the zip to unpack it.
2. Double-click INSTALL - تثبيت.command.
3. If macOS says it cannot verify the developer, open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down, and there is an Open Anyway button.
4. Wait for it to finish.

Open the panel

Open Premiere or After Effects and go to:

Window › Extensions › Genius Motion

It opens as a window you can dock anywhere. Drag it by its title next to the Project panel or above the timeline.

Enter your key

The first time, the panel asks you to sign in:

1. Make an account with your email.
2. Enter the licence key from your order page.

The key is tied to the account. You can sign in with the same account on as many machines as your plan allows.

If the panel is not in the menu

This order fixes nine cases out of ten:

1. Quit Premiere completely and wait for it to disappear from Task Manager (or Activity Monitor).
2. Open it again and look in Window › Extensions.
3. Still missing? Run the installer again with Premiere closed.

If it is still not there, send us the log file from the support page.

If the panel opens blank or white

On macOS this means the files are still marked as having come from the internet. The installer clears that mark; if you copied the folder by hand instead of running the installer, run it.

The transcription engine

Silence cutting and captions need the transcription engine, which is a separate download.

It is kept out of the tool on purpose: it is half a gigabyte and not everyone needs it. The tool itself is 220 KB.

From the download page get the transcription engine, unzip it, and run the same installer. It knows where to put it. Quit Premiere and open it again afterwards.

The engine runs entirely on your machine. No audio is sent to any server, ours or anyone else’s, and it needs no connection once it is downloaded.

Speed

On macOS it uses Metal. Measured on an Apple Silicon Mac: 18 seconds of audio in 3 seconds.

On Windows it runs on the CPU — slower, but it works on any machine whatever graphics card it has, or none.

The tools that need ffmpeg

Silence cutting and captions need ffmpeg and ffprobe.

• Windows: they ship with the tool; there is nothing to do.
• macOS: if they are not installed, install them with Homebrew: brew install ffmpeg The panel looks for them in /opt/homebrew/bin and /usr/local/bin by itself. If yours are somewhere else, put the path in Settings.

Uninstalling

In the same folder as the installer: UNINSTALL - ازالة. It removes the panel and leaves the library, so reinstalling does not download it again.
